Day 1: Travel from Cairo to Alexandria
1st Stop: Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa

The old Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa are an extremely well-preserved and fascinating mix of different ages with Pharaonic and Roman dedications to the dead. Found purely by an accident with a donkey falling through a hole in the ground in 1900, these sets of rock-cut burial chambers and tombs.

You will also drive by Pompey’s Pillar and stop for a photo stop, (it was constructed in honor of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century)
Situated centrally in Alexandria, Pompey’s Pillar towers over the surrounding buildings as a reminder of the once-great power of the Roman Empire
2nd Stop: Ancient Roman Theatre

Amphitheatre is a word that stands for ancient Greek terms which means an open-air area used for kinds of performances. The Greek amphitheaters were usually structured as circular or oval shapes with many seated steps for the audience. It was actually more like open air stadium, and was spread all over countries like Italy, Turkey, Jordan, and Greece when Romans were dominating all of these regions. The grand citadel of Qaitbay is a 15th-century defensive fortress located on the Mediterranean Sea coast, in Alexandria, Egypt. It was established in 1477 AD (882 AH) by Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf al-Din Qa’it Bay. The photos taken here are amazing. Continue to see the outside of Quaitbay castle which was built on the same site as the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria one of the seven wonders of athe ncient world. 4th Stop: Saint Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral

The former seat of the Coptic Orthodox Patriarch prior to being moved to Cairo in 1968. This Cathedral is an excellent example of Coptic architecture and is a wonder to behold. A couple of notes upon entry:
- Your bag will be searched and you will walk through a metal detector;
- Please dress modestly out of respect for the sanctity of the building;
- A small donation is appreciated
5th Stop: King Farouk Palace

This sprawling property was the summer home of controversial King Farouk who assumed power at the age of 16 in 1936 The Montazah Palace gardens of King Farouk. Where you can marvel at the presidential palaces of Salamlek, Al-Haramlik, and their adjacent beaches. Followed by great photo opportunities at Alexandria’s most charming mosque & memorial statue of Alexander the Great
6th Stop: Hotel at Alexandria

Lastly, a stop at Alexandria’s downtown. Once the tour is complete you will be transferred in comfort back to your hotel. Overnight in Alexandria.
Note: Breakfast at the Hotel then at 8:00 am our tour guide will be waiting for you at your hotel, ready to take you to your private A/C vehicle. You will then be transferred to El Alamein.
Day 2: Travel from Alexandria to El Alamein Then Back to Cairo
1st Stop: El Alamein War Museum

El Alamein Military Museum to chart the two major battles during 1942, and see the military equipment used in both, including tanks, guns, armored vehicles, maps, and uniforms. Explore the halls dedicated to each country involved in the war
2nd Stop: El Alamein War Cemetery

EL ALAMEIN WAR CEMETERY contains the graves of men who died at all stages of the Western Desert campaigns, brought in from a wide area, but especially those who died in the Battle of El Alamein at the end of October 1942 and in the period immediately before that. The cemetery now contains 7,240 Commonwealth burials of the Second World War, of which 815 are unidentified. There are also 102 war graves of other nationalities
